Locksmith Assaulted During Home Lockout Call

Authorities are looking for a pair who assaulted a locksmith early Friday morning, April 25.

At 4:31 a.m., San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department deputies responded to a report of assault with a deadly weapon on the 8900 block of Camphor Avenue. The victim, a locksmith, told the deputies he was sent to the location to assist a customer who had allegedly locked himself out of his house.

Two males were waiting when the locksmith arrived at the house. While attempting to pick the lock, one of them hit the locksmith on the back of the head with an unknown object, and the pair fled the scene, heading northbound while the victim called 911.

The victim sustained a one-inch laceration to the back of his head. He was treated at the scene by paramedics and released.
